tilia foodsaver won't automatically seal?
I have to beg the seal button, it then stops the vacuum pump and seals the bag.

If you are making your own bags from a money you need to make sure that the edges of the bag are trimmed off. In other words you cant have even the slightest untrimmed head start of the bag over the sealing part, otherwise it cant seal.
Do yourself a favor and get one of those cheap Reynolds practical vac's, or Ziploc Vacuum Sealer.
